Abstract

This study aims to examine the various factors that influence people's interest in purchasing Islamic insurance products in Indonesia. Through a literature study approach, this research explores a number of internal and external aspects that contribute to this interest. The internal factors reviewed include an individual's understanding of the concept of Islamic insurance, the level of trust in the insurance service provider institution, and the dimensions of one's religiosity. On the other hand, the external aspects analyzed include the effectiveness of promotion and marketing strategies, the quality of services provided, and the differentiation strategy among sharia-based insurance companies. The results of the analysis show that the level of financial literacy, product advantages over other alternatives, and perceptions of risk are significant variables that influence public attitudes. In addition, the active involvement of the government in the form of policies and regulations also plays an important role in encouraging the progress of the Islamic insurance sector. Therefore, synergy between industry players and the government is needed to increase public participation in Islamic financial products.
